A brief history: A team of engineers and scientists from Boeing & Rocketdyne started On Demand Manufacturing (ODM) to rapidly manufacture aerospace grade hardware. The company was established under Boeing's Chairman's Innovation Initiative, an incubator for new business ideas. Spawned from a concept white paper in January 2001, the ODM business was incorporated as a wholly owned Boeing subsidiary on June 6, 2002 and was subsequently acquired by RMB Products, Inc., in April of 2005.
RMB Products offers extensive material knowledge that will allow for greater applications to emerge via ODM. RMB, as an existing supplier to most major aircraft OEM's, brings expertise with other manufacturing processes, including rotational molding, injection molding, & compression molding.
